Yet Another Blog
This blog is on probation. Trying to blog in Chicago this summer didn't work out very well, not for lack of things to write about, but for lack of motivation to write. I suppose it's because I knew that so many of my friends saw me regularly, and didn't really need to read my blog to know what was going on. That is to say, maybe without many readers, I wasn't that interested in writing. That is to say, narcissism wasn't enough of a driving force to keep me writing. (I'm always surprised when narcissism falls short.)
Here in London I'll be in easy electronic contact with many people whether they're here or not. If this blog is a functional part of that, then I suppose I'll find myself writing in it. If not, then it probably won't be. So it's on probation to see how much I really use it to communicate.

damn you. Since I can't be trusted to write e-mail and therefore don't get much e-mail, blogs are how I pretend to stay in contact. I need your blog, Ryan. So do it? For me?
Of course, hopefully I'll see you in little more than a week anyway. So I suppose this plea might not make much of an impression.
