Things I Have Learned From Yoga So Far.

(1) I (used to) keep my shoulders slightly tensed up without reprieve.
(2) I (used to) keep the space between my eyebrows slightly scrunched together without reprieve.
(3) My apparent leg flexibility is a sham caused by a flexible back and long arms. I can bind under my feet, but I can't even quite bend my hips over more than ninety degrees. If I really keep my back straight, I can barely reach my toes. This also explains why I slouch in my chair and never could hold my leg straight out forwards in Kuk Sool no matter how strong my legs got.
(4) I don't have such a great sense of balance, especially when my eyes are closed or I am looking at the ceiling.
(5) I have a slower natural rate of breathing than most people.
(6) I have a really big head and a wobbly little neck.

Ha! When I started yoga, I also noticed (3) and (5). Maybe it is a kuk sool thing. As for (1) and (2), I have a tense jaw instead. It's weird.
